Cassie Myers

Cassie is a settler living on the Haldimand Tract, the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples, and home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, Métis and other Indigenous communities. Cassie's ancestors came to Canada from Jamaica, the Philippines and St. Lucia.
Cassie's work is rooted in anti-oppressive and actionable approaches to analytics. She works with organizations across to help them use data to make meaningful equity efforts driven by the communities impacted. Cassie has been honoured to work with organizations across North America, including education, finance, technology, nonprofit, and government organizations.
She has her M.A. in Cultural Analysis and Social Theory from Wilfrid Laurier University, where her thesis focused on how equity, inclusion and diversity efforts impact the visibility of Black women in the workplace.
Cassie aims to live out her equity work in the community. Cassie is the governance vice president at YW Kitchener Waterloo, where she collaborates with an impactful team to improve the lives of women and girls in the region. She was recognized as one of 50 changemakers by the Globe and Mail in their Report on Business in 2020, featured as an alumnus in the University of Waterloo's Global Impact Report in 2021 and honoured as the Young Alumni of the Year by United College in 2023.
